There’s something truly special about watching little ones grow, especially when you’ve had the honor of capturing their journey from the very beginning. I first met Harper’s beautiful mama during her maternity session, and not long after, I had the joy of photographing Harper as a brand-new baby during her newborn session. So to have Harper back in the studio for her one year milestone cake smash was such a full-circle moment for me!

For this session, we went with the sweetest strawberry theme, and it fit Harper’s bubbly, bright personality perfectly! From the moment she arrived, her curious eyes lit up at the sight of the pink balloon garland, oversized strawberries, and charming farmer’s market backdrop. She rocked her adorable heart-covered outfit and brought all the sass and sweetness we could’ve hoped for.

Harper gave us everything from serious model poses to the biggest grins, and although she wasn’t super into the cake itself (which is more common than you’d think!), she loved exploring and playing in the setup. The highlight? That adorable little tub, because what's better than splashing around after smashing strawberries?

Sessions like this are why I love what I do. Getting to document these fleeting moments, year after year, is such a gift. Harper, you’ve grown so much in just one year, and I feel so lucky to have been part of your journey from bump to baby and beyond.
