Little Everett came into the studio to celebrate one of the biggest milestones of all his first birthday and what a joy it was to photograph him! From his bright eyes to his shy little smile, Everett completely stole my heart.

We started his session with soft, classic heirloom-style portraits, which have quickly become some of my favorite images to create. Clean white tones, natural textures, and vintage charm let the focus stay on what matters most your sweet baby. These portraits are timeless and frame-worthy, making them perfect for decorating your home or gifting to grandparents and loved ones. There’s something so special about keeping those “forever” photos that you’ll treasure for years to come.

Once we wrapped up the formal portraits, it was time for Everett to dive into his cake smash, and let me tell you, it was an adventure in the sky! We transformed the studio into a dreamy hot air balloon wonderland, complete with soft clouds and watercolor balloon backdrops. Everett looked beyond adorable in his little aviator cap and rust-colored overalls, completely ready for takeoff. ✈️🎈

He took a gentle approach to his cake, carefully exploring the flavors and textures (and sneaking in a few thoughtful bites). It’s always so fun to watch each child’s personality shine through during these sessions some dive right in, and others, like Everett, savor the moment with curious hands and big eyes.

This session was such a beautiful blend of timeless elegance and playful joy, and it was the perfect way to celebrate Everett’s very first trip around the sun.
